Technical characteristics

SIME Hot Metal Detectors (HMD), series HMD.2, can detect anything having a temperature higher than 600 °C through infrared technology. They are largely used in the iron and steel industry.

Advantages

SIME HMD main advantages are:

  • Aluminium casting structure made for heaviest use conditions;
  • Water and air cooling system included;
  • Response time 0.1 ms;
  • LASER pointer for the perfect alignment of the area to be controlled (for -LS series).

Note

Hot metal detectors series HMD.1 have been out of production since 2024.
